Hello to all who enter here!
This is my first blog, so please be gentle with me, as I learn this craft.
The first thing to know about me is that I am new to writing, but an old storyteller.
I have told stories my entire life. Whether it was just what I did this morning, what happened at work yesterday, or snippets of what happened in other’s lives. I may have thought at the time I was just passing on information to a friend. But I can still remember sitting around a kitchen table and having an avid audience as I retold a story told to me. Tales based on fact but colored with my words and voice.
Now I am venturing into a new facet of storytelling. Moving from the oral tradition to the written word. Putting down on paper the stories that are like moving pictures in my brain. The stories I tell myself, right before I go to bed at night, or as I am drifting along seemingly watching television.
I am unsure how this will go along, as I seem to be very good at beginnings but usually fall asleep before the end of the movie in my head…I am just as excited to see where the story goes, and hopefully you will like this new journey as well.
